  • Taking a diet rich in nutrients and staying hydrated is of paramount importance after your Covid-19 vaccine shot. The vaccine can have common side-effects like headache, body pain, fever etc. This may happen due to dehydration or low immunity. Here are foods that are recommended post vaccination.

  • Green vegetables: Green leafy and seasonal vegetables are good for your immunity as they are high on fibre and are packed with anti-oxidants. They have many nutrients like vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, vitamin K, magnesium, etc. Vegetables like spinach, kale, and broccoli have anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.

  • Turmeric: It is a spice which has a slightly bitter taste and is commonly used in Indian kitchen in curries for flavouring. It has curcumin which is a natural chemical compound having healing properties. High in antioxidants, it helps to relax sore muscles and heals wounds.

  • Coconut water: Staying hydrated before and after taking vaccination is extremely important. Doctors especially advise coconut water post vaccination as it helps in controlling blood pressure and is packed with many nutrients like Vitamin C, phosphorous, calcium, magnesium and potassium. It also helps to flush out harmful toxins from the body.
