The story of a man in Assam who bought a scooter with coin savings is winning hearts online.
A YouTuber named Hirak Das documented the story in one of his videos. The man, a shopkeeper, told Das he had been saving for eight months to buy a scooter.
After collecting enough money, the man went to a showroom in Barpeta district, Assam to buy the vehicle. Das' video showed four people dragging sacks full of coins into the showroom.
Vehicle showroom staff emptied the sacks into a plastic baskets. And a group hovered around a table to count the coins.
Even though the showroom employees had to put some extra effort for this purchase, the dealership employees were happy.
The showroom manager told the source that when the customer walked in with sacks full of coins, he was shocked.
“That day, I received a call from one of the employees saying that a person had come with coins to buy a scooter,” Kankan Das told the newspaper. "My first reaction was surprised, but then we decided to go ahead. Five of us took about three hours to count the coins. And after we finished the counting, the amount reached Rs. 22,000.

Das, the YouTuber who first shared the man's story, congratulated him in a Facebook post.
"What we can learn from this is that even though it takes a lot of money to achieve a dream, sometimes it can be achieved by saving little by little," Das said.
Internet users applauded the man. "Good job, I saw this happen for the first time in my life," said one user.
"Very nice, thanks for sharing" someone else said.
