Kolkata: Bhuban Badyakar, the voice behind the viral song 'Kacha Badam' suffered a minor chest injury when he had an accident while trying to drive his newly purchased second hand car in his village - Kuraljuri at Birbhum in West Bengal on Monday night.
According to police, Bhuban was trying to drive his car with his trainer by his side when he suddenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake and lost control and hit a lamp post on the side of the road. Bhuban fell out of his car and injured his chest. He was immediately taken to Suri Super Specialty Hospital.
Speaking to the media, Bhuban said: "I was trying to drive the car when I had an accident, but it was not a big accident. The doctors prescribed me some medicine and did all the necessary tests. Now I'm much better."
Bhuban Badyakar became an internet sensation overnight after his song Kacha Badam went viral. Badyakar composed the song to attract buyers as he traveled to different villages in Birbhum district to sell peanuts. His song was later remixed and uploaded to YouTube, which has over 50 million views.

Bhuban Badyakar biography
Bhuban Badyakar is a resident of Dubrajpur Block of Kuraljuri Village in Lakshminarayanpur Panchayat of Birbhum District in West Bengal.
Bhuban's family of five includes his wife, two sons and a daughter. Sell peanuts for small trinkets and scrap household items. He travels to remote towns by bicycle to sell peanuts.
He sells 3 to 4 kg of peanuts every day and earns between 200 and 250 rupees.
