  • Powered by 6.0-liter V12 petrol
  • The heavily reinforced body can resist bullets and explosives.

Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard: a brief overview

Rated to provide VR 10 levels of occupant protection, the S650 Guard features a re-enforced body shell and glass casing capable of withstanding armor-piercing bullets, as well as an explosive force of up to 15kg of TNT from upto 2m away. The S650 Guard is also equipped with a self-sealing fuel tank. In addition, the luxury limousine can be equipped with equipment such as an automatic fire suppression system, an external communication system, an emergency fresh air system and more, according to the buyer's wish. The prime minister's transports can be expected to undergo a series of classified modifications to improve safety and security.

Inside, the standard Maybach S650 Guard showcases the luxurious and plush interior of the regular Maybach, with power rear seats, multi-zone climate control and more. The Maybach S650 is also longer than the standard S-Class, adding even more space for rear passengers.

From the outside, there's not much to distinguish the Guard from your standard Maybach S650, and only a closer look will likely identify the differences.

The Maybach S650 Guard is powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that generates 630 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque in the standard Maybach S650.

Mercedes recently introduced the new S-Class Guard to international markets, so it's fair to say that a new Maybach Guard could also be in the works.
