Indonesia: Heartwarming Video Shows Man Struck By Lightning In Jakarta, Miraculously Survives

A viral video captured the heart-stopping moment in which a man miraculously survived after being struck by lightning in Jakarta, Indonesia.

According to local media, the 35-year-old, who is working as a security guard for a company in the north of Jakarta, was on duty when he was struck by lightning.

In a video shared by local media, the man can be seen walking in the rain under an umbrella, with what appears to be a huge truck parked in the area. Seconds later, lightning strikes the man and sparks are seen flying in the video.

He can be seen lying motionless on the ground. As he fails to get up, his colleagues are seen rushing to the spot to help him.

The man was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. He suffered some burns on his hand, but was lucky enough to still be alive, Detik News reported. He was initially being treated at the hospital for burns on his hand, but was discharged after four days. He is now resting and recovering at home.

The guard's walkie-talkie, which he was holding, would have attracted lightning.

In March, lightning struck four horticultural workers at a housing society in Gurugram. All four survived.

To avoid the rain, the four men were seeking taking shelter under a tree when lightning struck right at their feet. Three of the victims fell down immediately after being struck by lightning. It seems hard for the victim to survive the tragedy, but luckily they lived to tell the story.
