New Delhi | ANI: Delhi Police Identified 46 Pakistan-Based Twitter handles Distributing Fake Video In Which culprits Attempt To Show Cabinet Meeting Discussing matters 'Against Sikh Community' , police reported.
Delhi Police said some handles shared a fake or altered video on Twitter. In fact, said video was of the cabinet committee meeting that took place on December 9, 2021, after the death of CDS General Bipin Rawat.
"With the malicious intention of promoting enmity and inciting discord within the community, the video was transformed and a new voice-over was superimposed, in which the alleged persons attempted to demonstrate that this meeting was against the Sikh community, ”the official statement read.

“During the initial investigation, two Twitter accounts that had initiated the spread of this video were mainly identified. Later it was noticed that there were multiple accounts (46) who tweeted the same video with the same content and the same hashtag, ” it says.
"All accounts were created between October 2021 and December 2021. Technical analysis revealed that these accounts were operated from a single browser used from Pakistan," it added.
The case was registered by the Delhi Police Special Cell Police Station under Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code, as the promotion of discord / enmity between different groups on religious grounds is detrimental maintaining harmony and may disrupt public tranquility.

The Cyber crime Unit and the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations Unit, Delhi Police Special Cell, are currently investigating the case.
