The Melbourne Stars were the team hardest hit by the latest coronavirus wave of the Big Bash League's current season. Not once or twice, but three times, they've been affected by cases of COVID-19, the latest of which is their regular skipper, Glenn Maxwell, who is in isolation. Two of the Stars' games have been postponed due to a sudden spike in cases at the camp and now, with many players, who contracted the virus in the first place, have returned from isolation, they will return to the field against the Adelaide Strikers.
The stars will be led by leg spinner Adam Zampa for the match. For the Stars, wicket-keeper Joe Clarke was the top performer and he too returns to the roster for the game against the Men in Blue, as they will draw on the foreign bowling duo of Qais Ahmed and Haris. Rauf with Zampa according to their needs add a few wins in a row for a chance to qualify.

The Adelaide Strikers aren't in a great position either, as even though they beat the Hobart Hurricanes in their last game, they have just won two games in aggregate and are seventh in the table. Captain Peter Siddle will wait for another full performance on his side to push the exhausted side of the Stars and defend himself.
