Valimai, starring Ajith, released today in theatres around the world. The action drama is shown on over 20 screens in the city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. An unknown person threw a petrol bomb at a theater showing the film. This incident shocked everyone who watched the film in theaters and shocked Ajith fans as well.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. No casualties were reported. Reportedly, a bomb blasted in a no man land at the multiplex, as the show was going on inside the theatre. The police registered a case and began their investigation. Police officials have yet to comment on the motive for the attack.
Tamil Nadu theater owners are witnessing an overwhelming response from fans regarding their pre-booking numbers. They said tickets for almost every show were booked before the movie was released. In Valimai, Ajith plays a policeman. Fans are excited to see if his character is different from the police roles he played in Mankatha and Yennai Arindhaal.
